Your students tap a link. No download, no account, no forty-minute cap. You pay flat rent for the room and keep every dollar your students pay you, and every tip. We collect nothing and sell nothing.
Small on purpose · No investors · No cut · Invitation only
A Cove room is a private video room for up to ten people that belongs to you. It has a name, a link, a lockable door, and walls that remember what you put on them.
Monthly, or a day pass for a one-off. Choose a tutoring room, a meeting room, a study hall or a plain room. Themes are just what's on the walls when you walk in.
Your students open it in any browser on any phone or computer. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. You decide who's in; the door locks and strangers knock.
Shared notes stay with the room between lessons. Ask the room a question and get a show of hands. Export the lesson log any time for your own records.

Rent, not commission. The room costs the same whether you teach two lessons or forty.
Many tutors use the big platforms to meet new students and a Cove room for the ones who stay. Your platform schedule doesn't change. Your private students get a better room, and you keep what they pay. The first month covers itself after one lesson.
We're a small studio in Virginia, not a marketplace. There's no feed, no discovery, no ranking, and no one is admitted without a conversation. Here is exactly how the rooms stay trustworthy.
Every host applies, talks with us on a short video call, and agrees to a plain conduct rule. We know who holds every room.
Rooms aren't listed anywhere. The host decides who enters, the door locks, and strangers can only knock. There is no platform recording.
Video goes directly between the people in the room and is encrypted end to end. We don't store notes beyond your room, we don't read chat, and we don't sell anything about anyone.
Every participant has a report button. It sends us the room, the time and your words, never any video. We can close a room or remove a host in minutes, and we do.
Teaching children? Guests have no accounts and we collect nothing from them, so a parent's involvement works the way it does for any private lesson: the tutor has the parent's knowledge, a parent books for younger children, and parents are always welcome in the room. Our conduct rule and privacy policy spell this out.
No. The room opens in Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge on a phone, tablet or computer. There's no app and no account for students.
However you already do: Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, your own Stripe link, cash. Cove is never in the middle of lesson money. The tip button in your room opens your own link, so tips go straight to you.
For hosts: an email, the room's name and settings, and whether rent is paid (payments are handled by Stripe; we never see card numbers). For the room: the shared notes, which you can clear or export at any time. For safety: who hosted a room and when people joined and left, kept for thirty days and then deleted. Nothing else, and nothing from guests.
Ten, including you. Rooms are built for lessons, small groups and family calls, not webinars.
Yes. The hand queue shows who asked first, polls give you a show of hands, and the notes are shared, so a study group or a conversation class works well. The cap is still ten.
The room closes at the end of the paid period. Your notes stay exportable for thirty days, then they're deleted.
Because we can't see inside rooms, we make sure we know who holds them. It keeps the community small and trusted, and it keeps us able to respond to a report in minutes rather than days.
We're starting with a handful of tutors and small groups. If that's you, write to us and we'll reply personally.
